Jewelry Care
A little care keeps your piece beautiful for years.
Every day
- Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
- Take it off for sports, swimming, the sauna and cleaning.
- Avoid contact with chlorine, salt water and cleaning products.
Storage
- Store each piece separately in its pouch, so stones and metal don't scratch each other.
- Keep your jewelry dry and away from direct sunlight.
Cleaning
- Wipe your piece gently with a soft, dry cloth.
- For more dirt, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse and dry well.
- Don't use silver dip, toothpaste or a polishing cloth on gold vermeil or plated pieces, as this wears down the gold layer.
Stones
Gemstones like opal, moonstone and pearl are softer than you might think. Avoid hard knocks and sudden temperature changes.
